THE AUDITION PROCESS
Round One
The purpose of this process is to get general information about each candidate. In this round, we gauge vocal range, tonal accuracy, and general musical ability through vocalization, tonal memory exercises, a short sight-reading test, and a brief a cappella solo. Noteworthy never sets a minimum or maximum number of girls to accept for any one round of auditions. If a candidate is not invited to call-backs, she should be sent an email thanking her for her audition the same night.

Round Two
When the group decides to invite a candidate to call-back auditions, she should be emailed by
the Business Director as soon as possible in order to coordinate the schedule. We will teach everyone one of our acapella pieces as well as a short choreography piece. The primary purpose of call-backs is to examine each candidate’s ability to blend with existing members, to learn quickly and hold her own part, to observe her performance techniques, and her overall compatibility with other group members.

MEMBER REQUIREMENTS
In order to be a part of Noteworthy you must be available for rehearsal 2 times a week on Tuesday and Thursday. We rehearse for 2 hours from 7:30-9:30. It is very important to be prepared so all member must practice music outside of rehearsal, so we can go through as much music as we can when we are together.
